I have previously purchased this product from Amazon.com and used it immediately. However, my last purchased card took about 10 days to become valid with T-Mobile. Bottom line: Don't buy from Amazon if you need to recharge immediately. You can call T-Mobile and recharge with your credit card. However, if you can wait, Amazon.com provides good value for me in CA - I save the sales tax.
