Product Description A Customer Review "The 290a l does not work if the GSM signal is weak, when others work" My wife and I bought two (2) SonyEricsson T290a's, during September 2005. The GSM signal is weak in our house (and in the office of the cell phone company). My wife noticed that other people in our house, with phones made by other manufacturers, on the same GSM network, had signals, when our T290a's had no signal. Be sure the GSM signal is very strong, before you buy this model! The T290a has some other nice features, but the main reason to buy a cell phone is to talk and you cannot talk, if it doesn't have a strong signal.
